How do I submit my product feed to Google Shopping?

Submitting your Product Feed

There are two methods of submitting your product feed. It can be scheduled to pull your products on a regular basis or manually uploaded at your discretion. Both procedures require the Google Product Search XML code generated by BigCommerce.

1.) Log in to your Google Merchant account.
2.) In your Google Merchant account, click on Data feeds.

3.) Then, click on the New Data Feed button.

4.) Select a target country. The format should be googlebase. You can call the data feed file name whatever you like, but be sure to end it with a .xml file extension.
5.) Click Save changes.

6.) Login to your store's control panel.
7.) Click on Marketing and then Google Product Search Feed.

8.) Select your country.

Here's where the directions can diverge depending on whether you want to automate your feed ormanually upload it. (You must manually upload your file to Google if your feed file is over 20MB.)

Automating your feed:

9.) Copy the feed's URL.

10.) Now, go back to your Google Merchant account, and click Create Schedule.

11.) Change the schedule as you like. Use the correct timezone, and then paste the URL for your feed. Finally, click the Schedule and fetch now button. (You do not need to put in a username or password.)

Your feed is now scheduled and will be updated on the interval you specified. Please know that it may take up to an hour for your products to display on Google Product Search.

Manually uploading your file:

9.) Click the Export my products to a Google feed file. Save the file on your computer.

10.) Go back to your Google Merchant account, and click the Manual Upload link to upload your feed to Google Product Search.

11.) Browse for the file on your computer, and then click the Upload and process this file button.

It may take up to an hour for Google to fetch your feed and populate the products in your dashboard. Once this process complete, your product feed has been successfully submitted.

Please make sure that you also set up accurate tax and shipping information in your Google Merchant Account by going to "Tax and Shipping" under the "Settings" menu.
